Super M Need help

I have a Super m # {16262 CJ}can any one tell me what year it is?It has the battery under the tank and orig seat post looks like 52. I checked the chart says 53 but production chart from farmall says dec 52. Im lost and also curious about the CJ in serial number, it also has the MTA grille on it with the holes lol

Looks like a late"M"(not a 'super')with a mta grill and a 'decal job'.the 2bolt starter is an indicator.What does the sn tag say?M or SM?The 'cj' suffix indicates how it was equiped from the factory.

The 2 bend gearshift lever(supers only had one bend)and the brakes(i need a betterpic) indicate 'M'.You may have a'mongrel',not a 'fullblood'.After almost 60years,anything can happen.

My sn book indicates yours is a'53.'52 was a 'transition 'year,-M and SM were made in '52.my book says:'52 M sn:290923-??;'52 SM sn:501-12515;'53 SM sn:12516-51976;'54 SM sn;51977-??.The 'C' indicates 8000ft pistons.Doesnt mention the'J'(probally special transmission gears).Hope this helps,Steve

So its a early 53 then? I have a copy of the actual factory production log it shows the line transitioned between march an april 1952 from M to Super Mending in Dec on numer 17362 . maybe i should scan this thing thank you for input ur prolly right

The brakes are 'Super'.the 2 bolt starter confuses me.May be someone replaced the bellhousing with one from an 'M'....

Built 11-53, C= built as a LP fueled. J= Rockford clutch.

casting code say 52 and all seem to match and the orig IH high compresion piston are in it still How Sweet is that ? Thanks guys here is my proof let me know anything you can Thanks Alot
