Well going to look at the Farmall m tomorrow I know it runs but does have a carb issue the guy says it drives and shifts good. It's complete, and the sheet metal is all there but he says at one time it looks like some one had stripped the paint to repaint but never did so it is extremely rusty and know it needs tires the currents hold are and are plush bit have near no tread left. I just wondering what else I should look for when I go look at it tomorrow. And he's asking 500 so I think it's a deal as long as I don't rebuild the motor.

How do I check the transmission? Also what would the tell tell signs be if the motor needs rebuilt? I know these questions seem dumb but I've never owned a Farmall actually nothing other than fords so any hints on what to look for are appreciated. Also I've never completely rebuilt a motor or a transmission done about every thing else. So that's why Im asking some of these silly questions

It's worth $500 as scrap iron. Just go get it and don't ask too many questions.
