I'm putting a new floor in my cattle trailer. The treated boards weren't really that rotten, but the steel angle iron crossmembers the wood floor was fastened to were almost completely rusted away. I'm picking up the new crossmembers today and wondering what I should paint them with to get a little more life out of them on these Minnesota salt lanes.
I was going to just paint them with Rustoleum, but I'm wondering if there are some better options available in the same price range. I see Undercoating Sealant products for the same price per can, but I wonder how far one of those cans will go compared to paint.
Ideas?
