I had fun plowing today!

Had some friends over to plow a piece of oats stubble today. It was a little greasy from last nights rain and the ground was like concrete but it was a nice afternoon visiting about farming ect. There was a WD45, 1941 G JD and we plowed with our 45 S Case, 49 SC and 53 DC. Sometimes a person doesn't have to spend big bucks to do trully rewarding things!

Thats Great!Our local club'Thunder mountain Flywheelers'has a spring plow day annually.I'm a diehard-I go every year!!Steve

well, I played a game of soccer, got both shins kicked. This afternoon, disked 2 acres and seeded it to orchard grass. Took 2 weeks to dry out after 10" of rain here in SE Pa.

So did I.. It was a pretty swell day here in SE Lower Michigan.

I had invited about 10 guys.. we had about 20 acres or so to plow.. I was here, the 930 Case/6 bottom Oliver plow in the picture is mine.. The 400 Farmall diesel in the back round is a friend of mine's. He pulled a 3 bottom Oliver. Everyone else mush have been busy today.. LOL.

I wish I had some pictures from plowing, but I just have this one from before we started.

We didn't quite get it all done.. but close.. My friend had family stuff and took off early, I pressed on.. Took a few breaks, and of course, I had to take my partner in crime (sitting on the seat) on a few rounds.. Got to go slower when he rides along.. I need to make up one of those buddy seats someone had on a Massey tractor in a picture I saw here a while back. I also had a few minor complications throughout the day.

No matter what, It was worth it all.. it was a great time :)
