I here about these, and figure that is where my equipment will end up. I cannot seem to get my kids interested in it. This kind of depresses me.

That is a real problem with the more rare tractors. Many think they are too valuable to use so they get turned into museum pieces. Why would the kids want to have that type of tractors.

I own many older tractors. Nothing is very rare. So they all get used for something. If the kids or grand kids want to drive or use them I say go to it. What is more fun and lasting: A collector JD 430 high crop that you are afraid to use or Great Grand Dads JD 4020 he bought new and you can go work the "H" out of it plus have fun.

To me unless the tractor has personal connection then I don't want a trailer Queen.

did you go to website and look at the tractors? Many of them are far from being trailer "queens".several of then are still in their work clothes. Bill

JD I could not agree more. Many of the kids today have no connection with the older tractors that grandpa or dad are trying to preserve so no real interest. Let em run em and do something more than a parade and get a personal connection then maybe you have just made another tractor nut! I've got a 8 year old grand son who really wants to drive my 8N. I told him as soon as he can press both the clutch pedal and brakes at the same time while still setting.......and he's already talking about doing field work on it!
