Anyone on this forum have any large sq bales of hay for sale around Abilene,Ks.????????? A neighbor of mine will be in Abilene,Ks Tuesday 9-13-11. Thanks,Jim

I'm not quite in that area and don't have hay anyway, but thought I'd let you know that the Salina, Kansas Craig's List would cover the Abilene area.

I was told yesterday that hay can now be purchased in another state and the government will pay the trucking bill to have it hauled in. Guy telling me about it said some loads hauled are costing around $6,000 for just the hauling. Doesn't seem right to me, but what do I know?

Thanks for the suggestion about Craigslist. Right now on Craigslist in Texas there's a lot of inferior quality, low weight bales of hay being advertised.

Only thing I heard was that weight and width restrictions weren't being enforced on trucks hauling hay, but, there's an election coming up next year,so I wouldn't doubt the taxpayer funded trucking. Or the $6000 if the government is paying it. I'm sure there would be lots of fraud and overcharging if that was the case.

Yea 6K seems a little on the high side unless you were paying someone to haul from the very sourthern part going up empty and doing a turn around.

Yep, that's that "Free Guvment Money" The Big "0's" Stash. Another of those "Shovel Ready Jobs" In this case, I guess it would be "Road Ready Jobs"..........Sign on the dotted Line.
