I have a kubota M5640SUD with a loader 72" bucket rear tires loaded to 75% fill . problem is if i pick up a full bucket of wet ground the rear end gets scarry light I dont want to hang a 3 point attachment off of the hitch because of loss of manuverability "not enough room" how much rear wheel weight would you add ?

full bucket of what? feathers, mulch, sand, snow? it makes a big difference. Do you know the volume of your loader? 1/2yrd, 1/3 1/4

It must be a kubota thing. My smaller kubota does the same thing with a heavy load on the bucket. I too have the tires loaded. Its scared the #$%$ out of me a couple times. I hook something on the back when doing heavy work but like you said, its a pain in the butt to have to do so.

I mean no disrespect to any one but why do you have to fill the bucket full.Load what you can safely haul and go. Common Sense just us it.

If you reread his post he says he got WET GROUND, as in dirt or sand more than likely, bucket size is 72", should be able to figure out approx yard size off of that. Bob

Read your owners manual !! I'm sure they tell how much counter weight is recommended for loader use. May be in the loader manual. It takes an awful lot of weight on the rear of these new tractors to hold them down as the loader lift capacitys have went up and the tractors are made lighter.

they do not tell you the required amount of weight only to be sure to fully load your tires or add a heavy implement

Bshugarts, Since the rears are loaded, can you add more liquid to get them to 80% or maybe 90% full, Check out what factory Kubota wts are available, if any! or aftermarket wts!! You might have to build a wt rack to add some sort of suitcase wts.
Do this if you are in regular loader service duty.
If it is, on occasion then..........
After that then the easiest way it to rig a 55 gal barrel on a 3pt fashion, add soil for wt, that should do do the trick, It will get you the wt needed and not stick out in the rear too much.
Hope this helps!

PS I just reread your post,And thought of something else.... This option will get you more wt but it will reduce ride quality, Solid fill the tires with that hard foam might work I am just not sure it is the way to go!

not sure how much weight the tractor can handle, but prolly at least a couple hundred pounds of cast iron weight on each rear wheel and see how it handles. check the capacity on your loader first, you may be over loading it with wet ground.

John Deere gives specific recomendations. I'd then suggest emailing Kubota and ask them and be sure to tell them JD gives exact details about ballasting in their manuals.

rember the weight in the bucket is all on the front axel ther has to be a limit befor you make it fail . tires - spindles and axels. when they fail HANG ON!!!
