Ol' Wobbly Front--Picture

Morning Guys,

This is my old work mule that has the bad front end.

Ball socket is all but falling out, horizontial and vertical bushings are toast and the steering cylinder bushings are so loose that steering is more like a 'guess' than a fact.

Have an appointment to get 'er repaired, but I can't stop until this work is done because it's the only tractor I have that can handle that disc.

Hang in there Ol' Sis, just a couple more weeks! :>)

was wondering where you found a picture of my exwife.................
Them red and white things seem to go forever...

Doggone thing sure seemed to be "laborin' hard" yesterday afternoon for an hour or two and didn't seem to quite have it's normal snort..............

Well, 'til I looked down and noticed that I'd flopped it up into 5th gear. :>)

The old war-horse didn't even smoke; just got a little warm. :>)

Is that why you aren"t posting one of those driving down the field pics. lol

Be careful if you are gonna road it home. Would hate to see you posting pics in the stuck and troubled section. BW

I thought it was just the nature of the beast to wander every place it wanted to go at full road speed. That pretty much is my 1066.

If I ever get the $$$ to fix mine right, it is going to take basically everything new in the front axle. Everything that could be welded has been. It needs new spindles and the arms they are welded to.

Allan, do have a quick question for you. My brakes are weak also. The loader is getting weak also, and I hear a pump chattering.

Are they both running off the same pump? It did get too low on HyTran more than once when I was running a Deere pivot tongue Mo-Co with leaking hydraulic cylinders. DOUG

Hitch and remotes run off the rear pump; everything else is off that front pump.

Commonality between them is the filter, screen and (I think) pressure regulator.

If the brakes "kick back" at you when pressed, it has pressure and may just need a brake job? If they don't come back against your foot, probably has an oil problem.
