Did a little plantin today

I've been waitin on rain for 3 weeks to help with the clods.Vacations comin so I couldn't wait no more.Only had around 3 acres to do.Used the old gasser and the little seeder.There ain't nothin prettier than a Brillion seeded field.Enjoy!

Even prettier when those little rows of seeds come up. Almost like a grain field, in miniature.

I had about an acre to seed to grass, and didn't have a grass seeder handy. So I broadcast the seed with a hand operated spin-seeder (that you walk back and forth with), then drug it with a pasture harrow, with the short tines down. It ended up with almost the same effect, and did a real good job.
