early silo filling

Quite a few guys are filling silos here already. About a 3-4 weeks early. Quite a few drooping ears now.

Where at? I see a little cut here in the Finger Lakes region but I think that is more to guys being a little short on feed rather than the corn being ready. A lot of farmers are short on hay and the quality on first cut was not there like most years. I'd be interested in knowing what is going on relative to silage making right now in other parts of the state. Might be a worth a trip to go over to Wyoming County and see what is going on in another week.
