Just cleaned up some of the garden areas and planting some of the cool weather stuff. Got in some cauliflower and brocoly (sp) and still have areas ready for lettuce and cabbage and a few other things. Would have planted more but since NOAA is calling for a 20% chance of rain it started to 20% all over me

We have planted spinach and lettuce three times this year and have not had any yet. I don't know if the birds are eating the seed or what. We caught cardnals digging up the cucumber seeds and eating them immediately after planting. Pumkin plants got about 2-3 inches tall and then all of sudden they were completely missing. This has not been a good year for our garden or our animals.

Ya know what you mean my garden has yielded about 1/3 of what I get most years and most of what I did get was not near as god as most years either. Been way to wet and cool or way to hot and dry. Have the water going right now on the garden in hopes of keeping what I do have going for a bit longer

planted 2 weeks ago, nothing came up. Temperatures are still in the triple digits.

No moisture in the ground either.

Just too hot and dry.

Ya they say that the temps today will be up close to 100 if not more and no rain till maybe the week end. I turned on the water to the garden last night and let it run till this morning in hopes that what I still have out there and what I planted yesterday do something
