Went in for a surgery procedure to open my esphogus today. The surgeon couldn"t open it up. Said there was too much scar tissue. Plan "B" is to have a more complicated surgery on Sept. 6th. It involves removing part or all of my stomach and re-attaching to the esphogus. Doesn"t sound very exciting. Long recovery time and who knows what else. Thanks for all your prayers for today even though the Good Lord saw fit to make me wait even longer. I"ll need them even more in three weeks.
Thanks again"

We will give it a prayer, after all, a body has to get some nourishment down to the old tummy someway now n then to survive.

I am sorry that this proceedure failed & sorry
that what lies ahead is going to be difficult.
On the other hand isn't it wonderful of they

My grandmother has/had the same problem. (I aassume, but you know what happens when you do that) She has problems with reflux andswallowing some foods. When she gets that way, the doctor gives her a shot of botox in a few palces, then shes fine for a few weeks.

A friend of mine had that done about five years ago.I don't know how much (if any) of his stomach they removed but they did take about all of his esophagus out. For sure it changes your eating habits. He now eats about six times a day because he cannot eat much at one time anymore. I did see him eat a pretty decent plateful here about a month ago though... He says it is a pretty sure way to stay skinny.
