Freeing up/lubing a cable???

Hey folks,
New wagon doesn't have surge brakes, Just a hand brake lever on a long cable that. The lever assembly is set into a slot on the tongue of the trailer when the trailer is parked but there is an identical bracket on the fender of the tractor (brake lever has a long cable) so you can have manual trailer brakes while pulling. Anyway, the cable is a little tight in the sleeve. Any tricks to lubing it up and making it move a little slicker?

Thanks, Dave

Will check it out in a few days. It works a little, just don't release the best. Lady when I got it said it was working fine but her boyfriend adjusted it for her. Could be just set too tight. Not real hard to disassemble.

Really like this wagon, has high walls. I make shorter bales for the barn so the wife can handle them if I get down so they don't stack/lock the best. Had as much as I could stack on the 2 axle wagon. Sold the wagon so stacked the straw from it to the new one (2ft shorter) and still can fit another 15 bales. And back it where I want it

Disconnect one end. Slip a hose over the end and hose clamp it to the outer jacket. Place a little bit of oil in the hose. Adapt the other end to your air hose. Regulate the pressure to 10 to 15 lbs., then let it sit until oil comes out the other end.

I have done a few cables in the past by taking any sealing sleeves off of cable and finding a old piece of hyd. hose close to the correct size cut the end off and clamp over the cable with a hose clamp. Then bush down the hose size to screw a grease fitting on it and fill a empty grease gun with automatic trans. fluid. I don't release the plunger on gun but hold it with the pump down and pump it in the cable till it runs out the other end. You don't have a place for moisture to collect then. Worked for me many times. Hope this works for you.
