pto on 970 Agri king case

I bought a 1979 Case 970 Agri king and I can not figure out how to turn the pto off it seems to stay on all the time is there a lever that I may be missing. or are the live pto on this model tractor?

the lever for the pto is on the right towards the back , its a short lever with a pull triger to lock it in place -- hope this helps

is the lever on the right when I am setting on the seat I will look closer when I get to the shop in the morning Thanks

Does it turn with something hooked to it?
Could be the PTO brake needs rebuilt.

The brake is shot and/or the clutch plates are warped. Not too hard to fix. Must have a manual though.
