140 ep gear oil

My gear box on my chopper calls for 140ep gear oil. The only oil I can seem to find around here is master pro gear oil. I have never even heard of this oil but it says it meets the right specs. Any of you use this brand of oil? I figured I would ask before I use it and trash a 3000 dollar gear box.
 
I have not heard of Master Pro gear oil but 85W140 EP oil is readily available.

Must be a Deere if it wants 140...
Mine lives well enough on 85W140. Those boxes will only handle 2-3 times what the rest of the driveline will take...
I wouldn't worry about it.

It's a quality gear oil and is rated SAE GL-4 EP.
My Servis (Rhino) HD brush cutter calls for 140 also. I know 85w140 is ok to use in it, but I prefer to use the straight 140. I also have a seal that seeps, and the 140 helps that too.
Master Pro is US made and sold by O'Reillys. It's $15 gal.

I get 140 wt.gear lube from the following oil/lube dist. at Cushing,OK.: Lionel Harris Oil Co.Inc., 2609 North Little, Cushing, OK. 918 225 2759.
The brand that they sell is from Fentress Oil Co., Oklahoma , City . 405 843 1833
This is the plane old heavy black lube that is used in oil field equipt and etc. I ve used in my old tractors without any problems. About $ 50.00 for 5 gal bucket. HTH , clint
 
I know of two good companies that handle 140 gear oil that should do the job. Schaeffers Specialized Lubricants has a 7ep in 140. Lucas makes a racing 140 gear oil.
