Thought of a solar light tube over the stairwell, brighten it up a little without paying carbon tax.

I built my big deck last year, and waited a few months for the wood to dry, and sprayed Thompson"s Water Seal on it. (All my other outdoor treated-wood projects turn gray and crack... and split...) WOW, the Thompson"s really protects it, water-proofs it, gets rid of the gray, for only $12 a gallon. You might consider it. Just spray it on.

Nice,very nice nice! Our bath has one of them big ol' garden tubs. Don't ever use it, takes too much hot water. Been threatnin' to use it for just that, fill it with dirt and plant a garden in it! LOL.
