OT BATS

I knew a guy and his wife who had a cottage on the lake,old frame cottage,with door in the attic for ventilation, when they came up to open the cottage in spring, they found bats flying around inside.The lady got busy with a broom and shooed them all outside.That night they were back inside again,waking the woman and her husband up,with their screeching and flapping.They seen where they were coming in at,a hole in the screen on the door in the attic outside.At night just before they went to bed,she said that she'd put on her Elvis album,and the bats wouldn't show up in the house when Elvis was played,but as soon as the records stopped the bats would show up.The husband decided,after talking to an old timer, to hang a bucket of water,below the door where the bats got in.Said the bats had to swoop down just prior to entering the hole,whereupon the fell in the bucket and drowned.(now here where Dave 2 comes in) The next morning the old man went up and brought the bucket down with drowned dead bats,the lady made the husband collect small stick and make small crosses ,and dig holes to bury and mark their graves,while she played Elvis records.Don't that just bubble your heart DAVE2??
Most of this story is true,except for the Elvis music.Just this writer doesn't like Elvis.

Well Roy, I JUST KNEW ELVIS WAS ALIVE AND HIDING OUT> AS for M Jackson. WHO CARES??????I think Bats help control malaria by feeding on mosquitoes and such.The picture of Elvis's trailer would be just what the bats would like to hide out in. I thought "LOVE ME TENDER" would have been the select music for their funeral.What do you think? PHIL

How sweet..................... The bat story is real believable and if there is that many they need to be thinned down. Smart and quick enough way of doing it........
I like bats myself and they are semi protected here. can't keep the cats from killing them tho.
You folks can trade poison recipes and do whatever you want.....Sure hope it don't come back to bite you in the butt later..... If you are lazy and ignorant enough to take that route, chances are good that you will forget something someday. Sure hope that 911 call is quick enough for folks to react when a grandkid finds a nice little bowl of sweet stuff while playing in grampy's barn...........

True story.

Every church has one---a nosy old broad who is into every one else's business. I'll call ours "Emma".

One evening recently, our pastor walked out of his office about 9pm and was confronted by a bat in the hall. No one has ever figured out how it got there, but the pastor took one lucky swing with a broom and the bat was history.

The pastor then texted the Music Director and announced he'd just killed an old bat in the church. The Music Director texted back and asked, "What was Emma doing in the church that time of evening?"

I think I'm gonna be sick....
