roll bar for 4020

Any one know of where I can purchase roll bars with a roof for a 4020 any good junk yard possibly or any one manufacture them?

Dave you might try All States Ag Parts (866-609-1260) they have 8 salvage yards in the upper midwest. There is another one called Worthington maybe somebody on here has their number.

It would look best with a John Deere Roll Guard on it. Some states have programs to cost share them.

John Deere dealer will sell you the complete ROPS kit for most JD tractors. The price ($500) never seems to go up. It's possibly a program that their insurer or a legal counsel put them up to.

I don't remember who it was, but I just saw a dealers website where they had a pile of them. But if I recall correctly, their price was close to new. As stated previously, they are subsidized, so might as well buy new.
I would put an OEM roll-bar on a JD, but I would look for a fiberglass/foam insulated cover.

There is a price protected program at John Deere. They have been right at the $500 range for years. I would get the John Deere roll guard. This is just the roll guard.

The factory roll guard top was metal. They will usually bring $1000-1700 for an original one. There is one advertised on YT ads, sand blasted and painted $1000, not bad price.

There are several companies that make a fiberglass top that you bolt to the JD roll guard. The top is $500-700 range. I have two of these. I actually like them better than the metal JD one. The fiberglass is quieter. I have glued the foam padding for cab liner to the bottom of the metal roofs that helps to make the not as load.
I will look up the companies tonight that sell just the tops.

CAUTION!!!!! IF you put a canopy top on your tractor make sure and extent the muffler exhaust higher. IF you leave it lower the exhaust fumes are drawn under the canopy. We have had several guys get sick from CO2 poisoning while running their tractors out side. I know it sounds crazy on an open station tractor but it happens. It seems that there is always a draft under the canopy tops. It must draw the fumes.

I just got in the mail a new Westendorf catalog. They make a fiberglass shade.

New York used to offer cost sharing for ROPS maybe they still do. You might check with the Marshfield Clinic Farm Medicine, Rural Health & Safety
