Cat Class 8 trucks

Just saw a picture of a new Cat Class 8 day cab road truck . Anyone know where they are built ? Looks like an international day cab ( like from the 9400 line ) and volvo hood .

here is a link

They look like an International because they are an International. Nothing too special about them other than the cat engine and logo plastered everywhere.

They are International 7600 series with a different front end. The engines are also International Maxxforce 11 and 13 renamed CT11 and CT13. Cat has stopped producing truck engines.

I thought in the new Cat truck (the farce that it is) you could get a 15L that was the C15 and the two smaller engines were Navistars paitned yellow. Just the rebadged/repainted Navistar engines in a Navistar truck with a cat name plate.

Edited for emphasis

As others have said, the engines are not CAT engines either, they're just re-branded International designs. The one thing that does look like a CAT design in these trucks is the CX31 automatic transmission. The WorkStar truck can come with either an Eaton-Fuller manual or an Allison automatic, this CAT version of the truck only comes with the CAT 6-speed automatic and it's billed as a competitor to the Allison.

Well, it works for boots and batteries, slap a CAT logo on anything and the value goes up. I suppose the service network is a big part of that when it comes to trucks though.

Next year there is supposed to be a Maxxforce 15/CT15 engine which from what I understand will be a International built version of the Cat C15.
