I know a guy that saws it for $.35 and sells kiln dried Red Oak for $3.50. You may be asking for a bad case of power post beatles if you don't use kiln dired.
 
Depends is it high or low grade? Wide boards or narrow. Wider usually costs more. Lumber prices are highly regional so your best bet would be to call around locally to sawmills and lumber yards etc.
 
My local place that I buy from sells select and better red oak for about 2.25 a BF. Kiln dried and random widths up to 16". He has better prices than anyone around here, Central Michigan.
