Anybody ever use the red lion brand hydraulic cylinders ?

Not sure about lion; but run a search for Bailey Hydraulics. They have several varities available. I bought a Chief 3.5 x 8 Tie-rod through a Case-IH dealer a year ago. Its a heavy cylinder with 1.5" shaft 3000psi, & 28,000 lbs lift force, & HD clevis"s which in my book is a must! You can order direct from bailey too. I really like the one I have.

That is what I put on our wood splitter, seems to work well. Bought it at Northern tool.

Have had no problems with them, got ours at Fleet.

Those style cylinders are all about the same. I bet they all come from the same factory. They should work fine. They aren't a heavy duty industrial cylinder and most likely just use o-rings and back up rings for seals but will work fine for most farm applications. I think some of them even have a lifetime or 5 year warranty.

Thanks for the replies guys. Surplus center has them new for cheap . Just wanted to know if anybody had used them sounds like they will work fine for what I am doing
