well need to get a few $$ to get by. I scraped a few battery's and a few radiators. Took in 9 batteries and 9 radiators. Got $297 for all of them. Boy I did not know brass was going that high. Brass in my area is getting $1.65 a lbs and 7 out of the 9 where brass/copper radiators. Now I see why A/C units are being stolen all the time

That's a nice surprise! Don't hear much about people getting good $$ for anything anymore.

1.95$ lb and if it is really clean just copper can get $ 2.00 here in Tennessee. Batteries 34 cents lb or $10.00 You can declare which way you want to sell them. Don,t know how long it will hold up but sure eating up a lot of old equipment.

we've got some old batteries but no one around here will give more than $1 for one not on "trade-in" for a new one.

dumbni-source won't take them at all.

i've got a 5gallon bucket weighing about 43lbs, that should be about $143.00, i hope no methheads come visiting. it will buy me a nice deer feeder next week.

#1 copper $3.30, brass 1.60. I get .23/lb for batts. On a pallet load of em they dock 30 lbs for the pallet so I find a nice oak one that weighs about 60 lbs ha ha.

Sold copper, aluminum cans, and batteries yesterday. #1 copper $3.15/lb, #2 copper $2.95/lb, batteries $.27/lb, and aluminum cans $.65/lb. Made $132 for my efforts, at least I got the stuff to the scrap yard before the thieves found my metal!

Did foul up however, as I forgot to put two batteries on the truck before I left. Went to unload and couldn't figure out what I had done with my leather work gloves, found them next to the two batteries I forgot to load.
