i am looking for a quick response to what a 1949 diamond t 1 ton truck is worth -- its original and real straght flathead 6cyl. 4 spd single rear wheel no bed of any kind no rust and complete--- i would like to take my old tractor to the pulls in with it and a fith wheel trailer cool truck---drooooool

With out seeing it hard to tell you but I do know the old Diamond-T trucks I own a 1963 model 990 that I would love to fix up if I ever find the $$ to do so

Sounds like ya better hurry up and write a check before ya drool too much on the check book.LOL

My guess is that it to be worth more to you so you decide what your wallet will allow and your conscious will let you sleep with keeping in mind what it may cost to get it in the condition you need.

Don't worry about the engine .. put your own running gears in it .

Check way down in the forums in the truck forum and maybe some one else will be able to help you there. Does it run as is or does it need a lot of work?? My son payed $800 for a 1951 Chev 1/2 ton pick up if that helps. It took very little to make it run

Thousand would be a steal- if the guy knows anything about them, it would take double that, at least. Diamond T's are rare, and very desirable. Would love to have one and put in a 5.9 Cummins.

what series is it, you say 1 ton, and if its one of those 201 series those are bringing a lot of money, they kind of look like a ihc truck of the day but look like the top has a slight chop on it, ive seen running examples that were nice bring 10 grand, if you can buy it for under 2 non running with a reasonable body you did good,, put your own power train in it, that old flathead 6 is probably worn out, and you wouldnt be happy with its power for towing and the truck if original may hit 55mph topped out, remember back in 49, the speedlimit was about 45mph, the roads were, well, sort of there, most rural roads were not paved yet

thanks for the feedback-- i will let you know how i come out on this deal maybe get a photo for you to see- PS i do have a 3-53 detroit to possibly put in it
