Another a/c compressor question

OK,I went to Worthington today and got a new compressor. Less than $200. On the tag among the other specs,it just says Oil:5GS. Anybody know what that means? My son looked at it,but said it had been 10 years since he took the a/c class and wasn't sure. My nephew just finished the class, said he'd stop up in the morning, but if he doesn't know either,do any of you?
It's a Sanden SD510 if that helps.

My information is that 5GS is a mineral oil to be used with R12 systems and not for R134. I use Ester on most conversions as it is more tolerant of some mineral oil in system but on pure R134 systems, most use PAG and of course there are different ones of them also. It is confusing.

ran into that a while back on a sanden compressor--i believe we found that spec on a bottle of 'lo vis' pac oil @ parts place--

Pete, You are ABSOLUTELY correct, but few (if any) on here pay any heed to correct and true information!

Then he needs to flush the compressor and put PAG oil in it, or ester. There should be a spec sheet for the 5gs oil saying what its viscosity is. Use same viscosity as it.
