any one have one? And did you have a lot of proplems like I did.Bought it new and one thing after another belts breaking, just about every bearing going out.Bought it brand new .Another person had one same proplems

Sounds like operator error to me. I've been around JD rd balers since they were introduced. I've not heard of or experienced the amt of failures you've referred to on one particular baler. Yes belts can break and brgs go out but not to that extent. I've traded off several with over 30,000 bales of use.

It was breaking belts when it was brand new. They sent a district manager out.I new he was of no help when he was riding on the fender of the 4020 looking back at the baler to make sure I was doing every thing right when he said .I never seen one of these work before. All he was is a pencil pusher. The mechanics from the dealer I bought it from were even stumped. Finally before the warenty was up they replace all the belts because they had so many splices Then I went 4 or five year before any belts broke. And the bearing are none grease able. I think they cheapened it up to the point the bearings were to small. It ain like I was the only one in the area with the same proplem with the same model baler. But does she make tight bales.

At what diameter of the bale were the belts braking? I've seen damp hay get wrapped around starter roll therefore wedge the wrapped hay against belts causing belt breakage. I've seen operators exceed recommended bale diameter and break belts.

On the sealed brgs I never seen a rd baler of any color with all grease-able brgs
