O/T F150 mechanic needed

How do you get those clip on fuel lines loose??

Ordered a replacement engine for my F150 and the fuel line where it hooks to the injector rail is the only thing stopping me from pulling the old motor.

Looks like it takes a special tool to push the spring to the side but I do not know.

Thanks.

And if you wreck the little clip, you can get new ones at the parts store. They just slip in the end of the fuel line.

Yeah the tool is only $7.59 at Advance auto parts. Get both styles as you'll need both to do the fuel rail and the filter. They work pretty slick.

Spray the fitting well with wd40-pb blaster- liquid wrench before trying to remove. spray it up tonight and again in am before trying to remove.

Thanks guys.
Went to the parts store and bought a set of tools for $10.

Nothing like having the right tool for the job. Pushed the tool in and the line came right off.

Hey guys I have a 97 F-150 with 160K miles and I've never changed the gas filter but I need to and still have it in a box on my shelf and was told I need a special tool to do so. Now I'm set. Thanks also! CT
