Tractor and Trailer Problems

Posted a few days ago about brakes on the trailer, couldnt get brake fluid to wheel cylinder or get the brakes to operate. Re-built master cylinder then checked out the wheel cylinders, all six were rusted up. Front and rear axle now have brakes.
Went to our local show yesterday, beautiful sunny day when I left around 10.00a.m. MF 1155 ran fantastic, couldnt believe how powerful it was hills just werent a problem even with the MF97 on the back. Arrived just after 11.00a.m. after covering the 20 mile journey.
Unloaded the 97 and drove to the parade field. Went back for the 1155, started her up and guess what no power steering and no 3pnt lift, just had to leave it parked up with the rest of the trailers.
Went back to check her out a couple of hours later , started her up and after about 20 seconds steering began to jerk around a little before operating normal including 3 pnt lifting again.
Once the show finished and I had the 97 loaded up again I started up the 1155 and steering was fine, drove home no problems.
Started her up this morning and again took a good few seconds for the steering to pick up.
Whats the most likely problem, I thought it could be the hydrolic filter. What do you guys think?

I would start by checking fluid level first. Then change the hydraulic filter see what the residual oil in bottom of the canister looks like (gray metal color, fines, etc). Probably need to drain rearend oil and pull the strainer screen to see if it's full of debris/metal possibly from the brake linings or the charge pump maybe getting weak.
