I figured it was my turn for some photos.

Here are a bunch of photos from the Best show in Woodland CA this weekend. Mostly crawlers, a few wheels, a couple of combines and 32 (or so) mules.

It was warm 97-101+. Ugg.

Enjoy.

Is that at the fairgrounds? Looks like a nice show. I've been to the Heidrik museum and was pretty impressed with the collection there.

WOW! Great pictures, thanks for taking the time to post. Sure wish I could have been there!

Here is a run down of my votes:

Most unique(love those duals):

Most crude (I really like it!):

Hardest working:

Most pointed at by the kids (hey dad, look at that one):

Oddest (not the equipment, the kid wearing a sweatshirt and hood on a 100 deg. day):

My favorite (Best of Show)

Are those wire guides on that tracked combine original equipment? They look just like the ones used on the MRAP"s (armored vehicles) in Iraq. Just wondering who copied who.

Lots of losers on this forum love to make fun of California... let them make fun of this! Where was this? Colusa county? Or Sacramento area? I want to live there. Sure beats a town hall parking lot full of Deeres. I wonder how late this stuff worked, to not get scrap drived or just junked decades ago. One looks like a self propelled steam powered grain binder.... what a combo! Like having 3 hobbies in one. I suppose this is a once a year thing.. and I missed it.... thanks so much for posting these!

A few years ago, BSOT had some kind of a large show, I think featuring Caterpillar, ACMOC or ACME forums might have links to photos, some early and very interesting machinery, taking one back to the dawn of agricultural equipment.

No it was at the Wallace Ranch, just outside of Woodland. Heidricks does have an awesome collection. They brought a couple of things, but were under pop up cannopies.

It was built in the Woodland area. I don't remember who made them, but supposedly they made them basically from the ground up (at least that is what I remember being told).

The pictures were great!!!!!! I was there! wish I could of met you PAT. Show was great little warm but they had golf cart rentals made it easy.
BTW they are planning a bigger show with ACMOC in 2014 same place. These are large working ranches with lineage back to best& holt families. Tony

I know where there is another one of those little wheeled Cletracs. Only other one I ever saw. Haven"t found anywhere that they made such a thing.

Hehe they can make fun of California all they want but the bottom line is our state played and still plays a big role in agriculture.
