.17 cal remington recall OT

lot of gun folks on here. I see remington has a recall on their .17 auto riles. Lot of problems using the.17 in autoloaders . A Few injuries reported in all brand autos .
 
Remington is also recalling their .17 ammo. It is damaging the magazine of their .17 semi autos. Go to Remington Recall they have pictures of magazine & shell case damage.
 
Remington has an interesting habit of recalling or putting out a 'not safe to shoot' advisery on nearly everything they ever made, don't know if it is to make new sales or keep lawyers happy, but i gave up on them. Their semi auto rifles they made from the 50's till lately, will not supply or let gunsmiths dupicalte replacement parts, condemn the pumps shotguns they made when Teddy Roosevelt bought Remingtons, I just don't know about them anymore... it their stuff is that bad, they should fire designers and engineers rather than hire more lawyers and PR people
 
I have always been a fan of Big Green, but ever since Remington was aquired by The Freedon Group quality has been slipping. Its new products, like the 710 and 887, are ugly pieces of clunky junk. Freedom Group also owns Bushmaster, Marlin and H&R. I hope their quality dosen't suffer.
 
I heard bad reviews of the classic 870 anymore.
Bushmaster original owner is restarting his company. Not sure what officaial name is . Glad to see american manufactuer comeback . Freedom group turned Remington into junk .
 
I just visited The Freedom Group investor page. I read the annual report and the prospects. I won't be investing. I wonder if management hasn't sucked all the value out of its companies, and will shut some down and spin the others off with extream debt loads.
