what kind of glue??

Ok, now some of you have me paranoid.............. I want to glue a metal ring/swivel on my plastic cell phone so I can put an idiot cord on it to hang on my tractor (or around my neck). Can't afford to have it come off and loose it cause the number is tied into too many other services that would have to be changed. Would JB weld do it or I need something that would melt (?) into the plastic a little?

Thanks,

Dave

I think I'd use super-sticky velcro adhesive strips--one on the phone, one in a safe place on the tractor.

Think that's enough? Sure be much easier and save on the cool points....... I've only seen normal velcro in stores here, is if there is a superduty, any chance you have an online link to order it??

Thanks, Dave

If you have a cord around your neck, make sure it is a breakaway cord. tractors have lots of rotating and moving parts that a cord can get tangled in. better to lose your phone than your head.

You're right......Just googled the velcro and amazon has just what I need, can take the phone on everything (quad, saddle, tractor, etc). Gonna put an extra strip on for the camera too........... Now ya done it

Go to a fabric store or a Wal*Mart. They have it in a 2" wide roll that won't come off. I got a box of it and I'm using it to reline the window tracks on my old car. (Using the fuzzy part) Extremely strong adhesive-similar to duct tape.

I put my phone into what is called a holster. It has a belt clip, a belt loop, and a D ring which would do just what you want.

I use the belt clip most of the time, but where I might loose the phone I use the belt loop.

On the D ring I use one of the tags "If found, etc.".

A holster will cushion blows from the phone swaying and hitting things when tethered. Opens easily via hook and loop or strong magnet closure (I now have a replacement as the loops are wearing out).
