Anybody else fool with old Willys Jeeps?

My brother and I are looking for the "Yesterday's Tractor Forum" of early Willys Jeeps. We fix up old Jeeps along with the tractors. Seems no forum we can find can approach the volume, knowledge and experts of this forum. We were just curious if anyone here knows of any? Thanks, Paul

Is a place for military vehicles and CJ Jeeps In your photo the left Jeep is a CJ-3B. In the past I have had MB,GPW and CJ. Now I have a M151.[code:1:433b4a085a][/code:1:433b4a085a]

My brother-in-law got into Jeeps a few years ago. He has several that he has fixed up or is in the process of doing so. He has an agricultural model that is not original, but he found the hydraulics and 3 pt hitch somewhere and put them on an older model. He just carried it to Denton Farm Park to show at the old time threshers reunion this coming weekend.

I have several. As a matter of fact we just bought a 1973. These are in Pa and I enjoy having them around. I also have several more at a place in Texas that will be coming North shortly. We just get them and begin wrenching on them until they run. Also there are several of the CJ's laying around Western, Pa, but finding the time to drag them in isn't always easy.

CJ3B with IH K series cab grafted on when new. Corolla rack and Pinion steering F head engine and Warn Hubs. Jim

Several years ago this 1948 CJ2A followed me home. It was in storage for 30 years and has no rust. It was very well cared for.

I don"t mess with old Jeeps, but we have a 3-piston high pressure pump that is powered by supposedly WWII era Willys engine. Haven"t used that thing for years, bet it would still fire up though. It always ran quite well, especially given it"s apparent age.

Yes the G 503 dot com mentioned below is a start, there are CJ and general jeep sites all over, but yeah, not with the help and personality of tractor forums, different mentality altogether. There is a site for CJ3B's like yours, I think Kings college? eastern Ontario uni professor has a nice collection of pics and info on this model. I used to have a bunch, have a 2 and 5 left, haven't touched either in years, time money and blood pressure better spent on tractors.... around the farm- an extra tractor with fender or 3 point seats, or a trailer with seats and woodbox etc, far outweighs any jeep in my book.

I like them but don't have the time to fool with them. For the heck of it, I was at Ebay the other day and did a search on "Jeep FC" and it came back with a couple of FC170's that were in pretty good shape. I figure a nice starting place for a SB 400 .030 over and stuff, Dana 60's front and back with lockers, some mudders and soupy mud, and...

I restored an M38a1 military jeep about 6 years ago. It's my summer ride, I put over 11,000 miles on it so far. Lots of fun. I hate see summer end, but I have no top or cab.

Usted to be a fellow named Ray on here from the Eastern Shore of MD that knew piles about these...anyone know what happened to him?
