Well my daughter who in from WA was down today with her old oldest kids. Both had a chance to climb on and sort of play on some of the old tractors. So today I had the 5th generation of my family on my grand fathers 1935 JD B. My mom dad got it back in 1940 and it is still in the family and yes it still runs. I got to take them to see the cave and then down to the creek so they could go swimming.

such a historical experience and you had to ruin it by putting them on one of them nasty green things

Glad they got out to your place.... remember fooling around in a lot of caves while stationed at the fort ((caves were around the crocker area and out the east gate toward newburg) but there were just too many snakes to try swimming for my taste.......

I'm jealous,i got 4 grown up kids but no grand kids, don't look like gonna have any either.

My daughter has 5 kids but due to allergy problems only the 2 oldest can come out to the farm where I live. This is the first time I got to meet all 5 of them to boot. Oldest is 9 and youngest is just over a year old

(quoted from post at 16:28:46 06/26/11) Ah but that is the nice thing about this creek lots of springs so snakes pretty much stay away from it due to being to cold

Lived on an old farm near newberg that had a springfed stream (mill creek) that stayed about 50 degrees...... Never saw any snakes in the water but plenty in the area.....

Old, I really respect you for your service to our country and your love of the farm life. I have my Pa's first tractor and plan on my 2 grandkids helping me farm on it soon. Keep up the good work.

That's great. The next great thing would be for you to be able to go see them at their home. When I lived in WA state The folks coming out for a visit was one of the highlights of my life. I think the folks enjoyed it too.

Hey Dave, I'm talking to Rich on the Phone, he said he did not discriminate, he said he had them on all the colors of tractors...hhhhhhhmmmmmm

Well Dave. I had them on the 1935JD-B the W Speed patrol. The Allis C the Farmall BA I built form the B and A and then they where around and or on the fords the Olivers etc. Plus lets see you come up with a tractor that your grand father owned and you still have and can say your grand kids where on LOL

If I could figure out how to post a u-tube vidio - I have one on there = 5 generations building a hay stack. All males and all with the same last name. Oldest is 89 "my dad" and the youngest is 4. We did that in 2009.
