Looks good Larry! What's that dry stuff between your rows? I mudded in my corn and beans yesterday and was going to set my plants tonight, but 3.5" of rain last night ruined that plan.

it worked good Mark,I still have to get a piece that was missing before I can put the bumper on, Some of the squash plants are small ,the first seed didnt come up with all the rain we had earlier this spring

Your garden looks a lot better than mine. Had a few visitors here in the center of PA:

Neighbor's heifer stopped by for a taste of sweet corn:

Mockingbird is a welcome guest, he sings all day:

And these little guys zip in and out in a hurry all day:

Love seeing those old Troybuilts running. And that Kohler you have in there runs forever. Looks good. Been In Arizona all summer miss having to help dad put his garden in and all the fun/work associated with it.

Looks good. Multiple plots helps with rotation somewhat. I try to use "companion planting" and usually rotate crops where I can. Corn takes a big part of my garden; I just planted my fourth patch yesterday. I also try catch crops, like radishes. I hate to see empty spots in the garden; just a place for weeds to get started. I've been getting a lot of hoe gours lately.

Tom, I envy all you people with the "green thumbs"!
Regarding your Mockingbird; I don"t have them here in upstate NY but when I lived in the Mid-Hudson valley, we had them.
You say they sing all day........my experience has been they sing all night as well!
I have been wakened at 2:00 AM by one in the very top of a large maple tree near my bedroom window singing the tune of just about every bird you could think of. Some have an amazing repertoire. I miss them. The closest thing I have here is the Catbird, some of which do imitate some birds but generally just do the cat sound.

I love all your pictures. You seem to have a wonderful life and take a great deal of enjoyment from living in your country environment.
God bless you!

See you're takin a little better care of that camera.............. See how well they hold up when you keep em away from them green things?????????????

Think folks that post pics of them nasty lookin things should put a "GT" in frt of the post..Kinda like the OT on other posts...... That way knoone gets caught off gaurd and can put on rose colored glasses or at least squint real hard.........
