So,how is that pivot working for ye?

I worked for a fella in Southern Alberta who had 3.What a PITA they where, always sumtin going haywire.

Around here, they're stealing the wiring off the center pivot systems. Last bunch that got caught got a slap on the wrist by our wonderful court system.

The alfalfa is blooming.round here, all alfalfa is only 50% (orless)because of cold and too many late freezese.Mabe 2nd will be better

Dairy hay can't have many blooms, or it's "overripe" and you lose the price premium- so you cut at bloom stage, whatever the yield, and hope for some heat for a better next cutting.

What is that like mowing those circles? I guess theoretically, you could lower the mower when you start out and never have to raise it till you finished the field. I wouldn't know how to act if I didn't have at least an eight cornered field! Do the ruts from the pivot cause you problems and can you straddle them and keep on mowing? I"m afraid I'd go to sleep mowing those big circles cause I didn't have anything to do. A radio would probably be nice.
