Hello, im having problems with the hydraulics on my Allis Chalmers B. its a 1940 model i belive. 3 point hitch system.
the hydraulics are very weak lifting up, i can stop them from lifting by simply pushing down on the lift arms. if i let the arms go all the way up, they then bleed off and sink back down, ive tried replacing the old fluid with new fluid, bleeding the system of air, doesnt seem to help. im pretty sure the pump is just bad, im tired of messing with it, ive got work piling up and a busted tractor thats not making me any money. Does anyone know of a place that sells new hydraulic pumps for Allis Chalmers B's ?
is there a way to turn up the hydraulic pressure?
please help me out guys!! i need to get my piece of equipment fixed quick!!

Unhook the cylinder and hook up a pressure gauge in its place. A/C systems on those old tractors where high pressure as in 3200psi plus but low flow. I'll almost bet you need to rebuild the cylinder since those old piston pumps either work or they do not work for the most part

Tf you are useing the ortginal hyd pump it is a two piston pump and uses a check ball and spring for each piston to make presure. Check that the springs are not broken or that there is no debris under the balls, you can find them under a couple of hex socket plugs, if these are okay then it is most likely as the others have said and it is probably the cylinder.

I ordered a rebuilt pump, for my 52 B from Sandy Lake, I think that is in Pennsilvania. It was in 2000, and my memory is not too good. Just a bolt on job, and it worked well. I found them on Google.
