O.T. Chevy Treverse

My wife bought a chevy traverse and they said she should get 20 to 22 miles to gallon. Although its new I think when I checked it it was getting 14 to 15, miles to gallon, and I really am unhappy. Does anyone have one and checked their mileage.G.M. needs to do better than that.

EPA estimate is 19 combined on both the AWD and FWD 2011 models. How you drive makes a huge difference in that though, the city listing for the AWD is 16, you"re not that much lower.

I had to google the Traverse, its v6 produces about 280hp, it weighs TWO AND A HALF TONS.

Its a really heavy vehicle with lots of horsepower, did you expect great mileage?

There rated at 17 city, so 15 is probably actual in town.20 is highway. That's why the equinox is so popular,20 city,32 highway.A lot of dealers have treverse they can't sell.

My 2010 Toyota 4Runner averages 19 to 21 MPG. About 15 MPG pulling the boat but did get 17.5 pulling boat long distance interstate one time last summer. Traded in a Chevy trailblazer for this truck and have zero regrets. No more GM in my driveway and I owned their products 25 years.
