Got em baled up this afternoon. Nice green oats hay. Should make some cows happy this winter.

My family hasnt grown Oats in nearly 30 years. Maybe I ought too again just for the fun of it. Nice bales; but I would rather have the tractor!

I was planning on drilling in some oats this spring but wet ground pushed the yeald past planting for anything but hay. Made a round with the plow in a hay field a coupla days ago and the wet went to hard dry in a big hurry. Guess I'll buy oats another year.

You are right. Planted in March, came up good but we never got much rain on them after that until late April. They were pretty short but had nice heads on them. May have been worth more as grain but I need the hay and harvesting the grain and storing it is a PITA. My son harvested a couple thousand bushel last year which we used to creep feed calves.

I sure do like those rear tractor tires. Lots of lugs which should give lots of traction and a nice ride.
