I don't know why I stayed up so late. It's after 11:30. Sheesh.
Supper was about 6 pm so I'm a little browsey as well as drowsey.
There was some pickled herring in the fridge and then I remembered I still have Ritz crackers.
Perfect.

I like them herring raw and straight from the ocean and with some fine chopped unions.
Scale them, gut them, dip in unions and suck them up.

Wife likes to eat dead fish too.....Gets them jars of rolled (smoked?) herring that looks like something that was pumped out of a septic tank.
Works better than a headache tzo keep me away........
I sure miss catfish and panfish.................

Used to love the fish sammich at mcdonalds. Was walking thru town when I first got over here and stopped to get a bratwurst, they had dead fish sammiches also and one was a pretty, crusty, patty that looked like a fishmac. WRONG............ Shattered my world..... The nice gold color was just the seasoning on a slab of raw fish..........

I think I am going to skip breakfast now....No there is some liver pudding in the fridge I'll get a couple slices of that.

What do you call liver pudding????? I Love liver and the wife hates it. Kind of a trade off I guess. Lieberknodel (liver ball) soup is my favorite.

Lyle, Marilyn and I are headed for Finland the last of August. Thanks for giving me a heads up on what NOT to eat. I'm not much of a fish eater so maybe I'll have to bop down to my ancestor's Denmark and enjoy some PORK!!!! . Jim

(quoted from post at 01:21:47 06/09/11) the taste of any fish makes me puke yuck!

Now I understand why you choose to live where you do as opposed to this wonderful part of Canada with so many lakes and lots of YUMMY fish.

This was a shore lunch of walleye we had last weekend. Along with home made fries, what a perfect day!
