I just finished raking and round baling 51 acres of alfalfa monday, it seemed a little sparse for the first cutting but I think the "global warming" (late freezes) got to it this spring.
Now we need some rain before it's time to cut wheat.

The hay-buyer that I sold to last year ($83.00 per ton), called yesterday afternoon. He said he was getting an early start on getting commitments from sellers in this area, and offered me $120.00 per ton for this years crop of alfalfa.

I told him I'd think about it for a few days. :D

Put up 200 square bales last Saturday. 96 degrees plus heat index. Started round bales yesterday. I love the tractor, Ford 4000 3 cyl. Only drawback is it has a cab and no A/C.
