somebody told me this morning my mini was pretty ugly so i had an idea. Would anyone be interested in having an ugly tractor contest? would not have to be your own just whatever you can find in the area let me know if that is a good idea

we had them before ,, about time to do tha again .. i nominate the dc case for the ugliest , however it has ..beautiful engineering and weight torque pull ratio ..

Not mine, but it gets my vote

I nominate the White American series. I'm a big Oliver fan, but this concept was ill-conceived and that's putting it mercifully.

I Binged "ugly tractor" and this is the first pic that popped up. Says it's a Dutra. Don't have a clue where it's from.

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder, I think it could be pretty cool looking. Was it just a sheet metal change or a major mechanical redo, none around here.

Google says Dutra is Hungarian. Gotta go with you there, although I was going to say pretty much anything Russian. Guess we can add in most everything the other side of the old Iron Curtain.

The early Co-ops get a vote here, too (the ones before the Cockshutt version).

Neighbor had a MH 30, which might be in the running, too.

Pigeon roost Case..... Dad had one that was the cause of me enlisting in the army just so I didn't have to be seen operating that UG-LEE thang!

That MM really looks pretty good, reasonably rare, and rather than throw her back into the brush, I suggest advertising for a buyer when you decide to move on.

The dark spot is a Cockshutt 540, the CF100 of the Canadian tractor world. Is isn't the tractor I want concidered for the price- in the the 'ugliest tractor picture'. Snow is ugly... snow is evil.... snow should win the uglyness award...

This is the first time anyone said my homemade steel wheeled modle A Ford, is ugly. They always have so meny questions, as where I got it and what all the parts came from.

I gotta agree MM made some unpretty tractors. Only things worse were some of the Ruskie tractors.
Another tractor that I think is particularly ugly is some of the 135/165 Masseys. When ever I see one I can only wonder WHAT were those designers thinking.
I'm not saying they are bad tractors but appearance wise they are pretty far down on the heap.

I have to disagree with you, UD. Beauty, of course, is in the eye of the beholder, but I've always thought that the late 1960s and later MFs were quite attractive.

Maybe it's my old-fashioned penchant for squared-off designs, which, no doubt, derives from my absolute love of the 1964 Impala SS.

I've always liked styling with sharp, square corners like the 60s and later MFs and the late 60s - early 1970s ACs.

BITE YOUR TONGUE!!!!!!! Them's some pretty tractors.................

come on you green paint owners dont be shy lets see what you got dont worry nobody will know who you are LOL

OK, green paint! I was nine years old when the new gen Deeres were introduced in 1960. Even at that age I felt betrayed because my favorite brand came out with a new tractor that was so ugly! So ugly that it'll be a laughingstock. But it eventually grew on me, and many others. Jim

I've seen a bunch of ugly tractors the last 73 years but yours is the take all winner. congratulations. Poor beast. It has my sympathy.JH

the paint on the white americans is pretty bad. white never did
figure out how to paint something. seems like white fades the
fastest.

as far as ugly tractors id say some of the masseys that were
european style set up (like in the pic someone put on here)

i also think some of the old allis chalmers are pretty ugly. sorry allis
guys.

Seams like alot of "double entendre" words on that lumber sign behind the pink JD. Probably no accident the photo was taken there. Probably no accident the owner of the store used those words.

If my next sentence used all those words, somebody would call the moderators.

Well- what's normal? When am I suppose to stop? How else is a poor little guy like me suppose to keep warm in a cold Alberta clipper??? Some of the gals in these pics have lots to keep a feller warm at night... see? this is how it starts, then your post gets zapped and you get mad...

For several years, about fifteen years ago, I was in charge of the antique auto show on my hometown's Fourth of July celebration.

For a couple of years I held an "Ugly Truck" contest along with it. The only stipulations were a truck needed to have current plates and insurance, and it needed to arrive and depart under its own power.

You wouldn't believe some of the stuff that showed up.

Yea yea yea Dave. Somehow I can't imagine your tractor ever looked as good as the first picture! Got any proof? Got any pics of the day your brought her home? Huh? Do 'ya? Huh?

steve i was wondering when you were going to put that pic in im not saying it is ugly i love that old girl but i thought you might put it in

The MF 100 series are generally regraded as some of the finest looking tractors made. They were also the best selling model line in their time. I can understand how a Ford guy wouldn't be too fond of MF's but take a look at some of the Ford tractors, especially the 5000 commander. Now that's a fugly tractor!

hey steve those are beautiful would love to get my hands on them to me the stranger the better thanx steve

Oh...Oh.........Jealousy is so unbecoming.................

Looked worse when I got it cause someone "restored" it with a spraybomb. Oven cleaner and pressure washer got it to at least it's faded glory. The other one is a twinkle in the eye pic. Shoulda seen it with a frontloader and sicklemower.......
