Yep,

I always liked the 3-point versions too.

Especially when ya wanna back up to get a close bite at the headgate or for making a T off another ditch. :>)

Thanks. About all we're missing now are photos of your ditcher as said below (ours was a yellow one with wheels we pulled with a F400, don't know the brand) and photos of your pump motors/engines. We ran one farm's pumps with engines (DD 2-71, IH RD450, Ford 428) and other farm was all electric motors. Wells were 600+ ft.

Thanks for posting the photos.

Those pics sure do bring back memories. But seems like we had bigger tubes. I know when I was 9 or 10 yrs old, my hand wasn't big enough to fit over the 2" tubes. Had to be careful or I'd get a face full of water!!
And no matter what else was going on, always had to make morning and evening "rounds" to check the wells. We had several Chrysler 318's and a couple of Chevy 427's. They ran almost non stop from mid March till early Sept.
That's where I learned to drive...helping Dad move "settin's" of aluminimum gated pipe. That's what I like about these forums...brings back lots of fond (and sometimes not so fond!!) memories of growing up on the farm.
