9n front rims

I have a 1940 9n ford tractor with a five lug front hub. I need to replace the rims, but all I can find are rims with the large center hole pattern. Was this hub an option then, or possibly a later upgrade. The rims on it look like 15" truck rims. Thank You.

Some one at some point in time switched the hubs on it and put on a set of car hubs. So you either need to find rims that fit those car hubs or you need to replace the car hubs and put on the correct hubs. Either one will be pain in the back sides since the hubs yu have right now are from a car but you do not know what car. Or you find a set of the correct hubs and go back to the 19 inch rims/tires. The correct hubs I have but no rims

From what I remember Ford car and pickups used the same bolt pattern from 1940 thru 48.In 1949 Ford cars went to a smaller pattern but picks kept the same pattern for many years. This is the short answer. Try a pickup rim and see if it fits.

Ford PU rims have a rectangular flat spot radiating from center pilot hole for each lug hole...most have a script fomoco stamped on them also...same pattern till 97 or 99.
you mite also look at a 5 lug implement wheel pattern.

Jamesk9 those hubs could be off a later 8n, take one of the hubs to your local farm tire shop and they will have or can get the rims you need. If they are off something else they should be able to measure the bolt pattern and tell you what will fit your tractor.

Thanks to all of you. I know what I"m dealing with now. This may be an excuse to go to the salvage yard.
