Looking to buy A 2006 John Deere gator 4x4 w/ diesel engine to use around the property. Any thing i should look for.? Pros and cons.?

A friend just traded his diesel for a new 3 cylinder gas Gator. Had 54 miles on it. Said it was noisy and he stunk like diesel every time he drove it. Mark

forget the gator and get a kawasaki diesel mule... better quality and better bargin for the money... they will run and run and run....

Gater is ok...depends what you plan on using it for. We couldn t be without it. Having said that, I don t know anyone around here who liked the diesel version.
They all have issues-gaters, mules, kubotas etc. Just depends what you will use it for.

Dont know about the diesel,we had a 2006 gas model and loved it.My only beef was it was one cold hearted animal in the winters up hear in Ny.Took for ever to warm up just to drive it.Came out with fuel injection the next year.
