Ferris is about 45 miles from me here in central Michigan. I"m a graduate of that fine institution, with a degree in Science Education, also taught there in science, electronics - in the early "80"s. Daughter is also a graduate, with a doctorate in Pharmacy, son is expected to graduate in the spring (2012) with a degree in Computer Networking, Security.
Can you say we"re pretty big Ferris fans?

Be sure to check out the "What am I looking at?" Shows the nest site, and some of the surroundings. Nest is on a tall light pole in parking lot of one of the classroom buildings.

Where are you Ray, I'm in Grandville enjoying yet another day of rain. I couldn't help thinking how glorious the weather would be if it were Late July and we hadn't seen rain in weeks.

That's neat. There's a place in Juneau that had an eagle-cam, similar to that one. The nest was waaaaaay up in a tree, and you could go online and watch the eaglet grow up and finally be ready to fly away. Since bald eagles will often re-use their nest year after year, and if the camera survived the winter, there may be another family to watch this year. See the link, and follow it to the "eagle web cam".

Hi Larry. The Molines are running fine. Had a plow day Saturday, ran my UTS Special without any hiccups. I stopped once to look into some odd banging but discovered in was the vibrations of the green tractors that I was surrounded by.

We got us some Osprey in northern Indiana right on the Michigan border. Lots of lakes and a river right near by. Them are some big birds. First time I saw one, was pirched on the top rail of the fence surrounding our house. It saw me, I saw it, it launched and I'm telling you, they are big, big, big birds. We had a chiuaua house dog at the time, and its a good thing it didn't get mistaken for a bass or trout, cause it would have been gone. Them are some big birds.
