James & Nancy,
The local news stated that a major thunderstorm with possible tornadoes passed through Hutchins tonight. I hope all is well with both of you and that there was no damage. Several tornadoes were reported to have touched down in the DFW area. I hope no one was hurt.

Oldest son and wife live in Arlington very close to the Ball Park which got a lot of big hail. Apperantly they missed the hail, but a neighbor lost a large limb off a tree which of course came across fence and into sons back yard and on top of his storage shed. At least it missed the house, sure am glad too as our grandkids were in there!

The news report this morning was only about power outages in the DFW area. It appears that there was only minimal damage. Our thoughts and prayers are with those in the other states that got hit so very hard. Some areas just north of me got about three to four inches of rain last Friday, but we had none. The Houston area is anywhere from eight to 18 inches behind on rain fall this year with no relief in sight. We don"t need any severe weather though.

We're both OK; thanks for asking.

We left for the farm early last night to cut hay today.

Nancy got a call from her sister that lives in Plano, TX this morning about the "tornado" that hit Hutchins.

Nancy called the Hutchins police dept. this morning and they said no tornado.

Thanks again for your concern.

PS: photos and videos of first hay cutting to follow after Memorial Day.
