Slow lazy day in North-east Iowa!!!!

It is a nice gentle rainy day. I seem to have misplaced my get-up-an-go or it got-up-and-went LOL. Have not even left the house after chores. Got a iced tea and just watching it rain. Listening to the grand son work out on a weight machine. His Aunt has gotten him going well on the road to recovery. His doctors in Iowa City released him to his Aunt"s care. I don"t know if that is better or not. LOL She WILL work the kinks out of him weather he wants to or not. He can jog to the mailbox and back.

Have two of the younger grand sons, 3 & 4, watching toons in the living room. They will be out in a little while to go for their tractor ride. I am not sure what they will pick. They like the wide seat on my old AC "C". They can ride right next to Grandpa. They like the JD G that I have two buddy seats on where the fenders should be. I am going to have to build a bigger "KID" hauler. I have been blessed with eight grand kids so far, six boys and four little angels. Thinking about stretching an AC WD45. I have one that has a bad motor. I have a Cummins 4DB that would fit the frame rails. Another project waiting for my ambition.

Well you all have a nice relaxing day. I hope those of you in the eastern corn belt can get some dry weather. It sucks having good prices and no crop planted.

Kinda the the same here. We've been dead in the water for the most part since last friday. Some got some more moldboard plowing done, but I didn't see any chisels or secondary tillage being done all week. Temp. has been about 55-60F all week. Had one night with wide spread flash flooding from Utica to south of Albany from localized thunder storms, that closed roads overnight. I shot this pic. about 11:30pm this morning. This little T storm was traveling down the Mohawk valley east of Little Falls, on the North side of the river. I was about 5 miles south of the river on a high point of the road that passes my home. The stormes that travel the north side of the river come off the end of Oneida Lake, anyway I thought this was a neat pic. of this little storm cell. Maybe mid next week everyone will get back in the fields. Alfalfa is really growing good though. Just a typical, nontypical spring in Central NY.

Ready for this lazy day as well. now the gal friend wants to take off and tour the Amish shops. Nothing like the lazy days in the spring. Only 13 acres left to plant so it is great to rest. Hope everyone enjoys this day.
