I'm so darned excited 'bout this goofy thing that I'm 'bout ready to wet my britches.

Finally, after searchin' all these years, I found an OLD Hereford at a "reasonable" price! :>)

Thing is built like a tank and scalloped just right!

'Ol Newman and I are going out to fix some fence this morning.

I'll fix the fence easy enough, but Newman has to handle those two yearlings that keep getting into my wheat.

He's better at it than I am.......but, only 'cause he's younger. :>)

Texas a long, long time ago.

You can really see the Mexican influence as the swells tend to tip forward and that horn is 'bout the size of a chevy hub cap.

All four cinch grabs are pure/thick brass. What I really like about 'em tho are those scalloped out jockeys/trees; it just flat glues ya into the seat. :>)

Allen,

From what I can see of the pic, it is a very good looki'n saddle! wish it was a bigger pic and the light was better... years ago I had a girl friend and she got this saddle from her father after he passed, and it very much looks like yours,it felt nice for riding and I borrowed it many of times,I sure liked it so comftorable...

wonder where the saddle and or the girlfriend is now...hmmm....

Lucky guy!! A good saddle, and a good horse, and a guitar for when the day is done! You are a lucky guy!!

Best Wishes,
