I am sending a big plea out to anyone. My Grandfather gave me a Case DC a couple years ago. I got motor unstuck but not much more. HE told me when he gave it to me that all he wanted was to see it running before he died...............well.................today he got diagnosed with lung cancer. I am not good at this and need help.....I promised him........IF ANYONE can help me I live south of Topeka near Lyndon, KS I work at the Nuke plant nights and only have Sunday afternoon.......would like to get it running and take video to him. He is 87YO and I deperatly need help...........ANYONE?

It may not to take too much just to get it running. You need to see if has a mag or distributor. A mag doesn't require battery voltage and a distributor does. If it has electric start you will need a fully charged battery. I would also place your request over on the Case forum to see if someone over there can help you get it running. Hal

If I was closer I would gladly help you out but I can not travel as far as where you are my back and my back pocket would not let me. That said it is probably not all that hard to get up and running. If you could maybe haul it to me I could maybe even get it running for you the same day. My e-mail is open. I am down here at the lake of the Ozarks area

That is tough. I am not a mechanic either.

My Grandfather (the one I respected the most) He was a Lt. Col. and a pilot in WW2 and he died in 1998. I got married in 1995. He told me long ago (before I was married) that he wanted a Great Grandson. In fact 10 minutes after I was married, while still in the church my grandfather looked me straight in the eye and poked me on the leg and said "you need to get busy getting me a great grandson" Well....My wife and I didnt start trying until after he died. I have always felt a little bad about it. But I got a son, he is 10 years old now, but my grandfather died 3 years before he was born. I am the only one to carry on my last name. This was very important to him. My wife and I discussed trying earlier but figured it was a 50/50 chance anyway.

Give me a call. I live over in Overbrook so I am not that far away. 785-213-6046. You may get my voice mail but leave a message and I will get back to you.

I might just do that sunday when I get up....(work saturday night).....hopefully it will just be putting a few things back together and firing it up then adjusting the carb and mag a little......hopefully......

Sorry i did not call anyone on this. Been really busy. Till today. I was off work and went to work on the old gal.

But low and behold away she went and is now running great. Well sort of. the water pump is leaking (only when she is off though) and the radiator is in need of new core. Lots of grime, rust and such in it. plus a couple leaks. New tires are in order too. But main thing is she is running and never sounded better.

on second note I brought home the sickle mower that he bought with the tractor back in '51 it is a TA-7. Mount is on the tractor. It is in need of A LOT of work as it has been in weeds 40 years. But that is another story. Main part is this old gal is running.

even though im far away if i had the means i would get down there and help i could imagine the joy in him to see the old tractor run again maybe one of these good hearted people on this site thats not to far awaymight come and help
