OT Ford 5.8L Help

I have an 89 F250 that just quit running right. It sounds like its hitting on maybe 4 cylinders but if you give it gas it coughs and spits back through the intake.
Replaced all plugs, wires, cap, rotor and coil. Fuel pressure is 40psi at idle.
Can a ford of this year jump time and still start and try to run?
I did a compression test and have 55-60 all around.
Engine has 67K original miles and ran perfect prior to sitting a couple months.

You are lacking a lot of compression needs to be up at least 90 , 120-140 would be better , I'd look at timing chain or plugged cat .

I started pulling it apart today. I'll know by the weekend. I hope thats what it is.
Thanks for the replys.
