Please go to this site for a 2 min trailer about the Honor Flights. Remember, we are here, because THEY were THERE. http://media.causes.com/1060527?p_id=175378540

Good video. I had the honor of going on an Honor Flight last year with my 90 year old Father. He is a D Day vet and he was in Czechoslovakia when the war ended. I hope every WW II Vet that can make it gets there. I even contributed to the fund.

My grandfather, now 94, is a WWII vet. Army Air Force. Spent most of his enlistment at Wright Patterson in Dayton and then after D-Day he was transferred to the European Theater. He was a vehicle mechanic for most the war but was re-trained and transferred to the Army infantry in anticipation of moving the the Pacific Theater after the taking of Berlin.

We had quite a few of them sponsored by Hy-Vee grocery stores out of Des Moines. Absolutely correct. We'd be speaking japanese or german if it weren't for them.
